 In 1996, Dolly Parton and the Dollywood Foundation launched the children's book program Imagination Library. Starting in her hometown of Sevier County, Tennessee, the Imagination Library is now in 196 communities in 32 states and still growing. Through the program, children who are registered receive a new, hardcover, age-appropriate book each month until the age of five. Each month new carefully selected book will be mailed in your child’s name directly to your home.
Who Is Eligible?
Preschool children (birth until their fifth birthday) of Fayette County.
What Are My Responsibilities?
- Be a resident of Fayette County
- Submit and official registration form, completely filled out by a parent or guardian (form must be approved and on file with the Fayette County Literacy Council). Forms are located at The Bank of Fayette County and the Fayette County Literacy Council.
- Notify the Fayette County Literacy Council any time your address changes. Books are mailed to the address listed on the official registration form.
- Read with your child.
- Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is a FREE GIFT to your children. All you have to do is read with them. The Bank is a very proud sponsor of the Imagination Library.
